In 2011 and 2012 I had the good fortune to stumble upon a little gem of a school in Boston.  It is called the Academy of Realist Art.  The school teaches according to the French academic tradition of the 18th and 19th century.  There I  received long desired information regarding how the masters learned.  We did studies after Charles Bargue lithographs of classical sculptures as well as life drawing classes.  I also attended painting workshops where we deconstructed works of the masters, William Bougeureau and Peter Paul Rubens.  See the additional tabs for more information.
